Pregnant Jessica Simpson Talks Motherhood, Sounds Confused

By now, we all know that Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her second child, just several months after giving birth to her first. Good thing the singer has embraced motherhood so wholeheartedly. She told People magazine in a new interview that "motherhood is the best thing I've ever experienced -- and the most challenging" even though it's clearly yielded some confusing train of thoughts from the singer.

For instance, when asked about her feelings toward daughter Maxwell Drew, Simpson said: “There are little things that you kind of obsess over. I never knew how protective I was until I had my own child. I’m already thinking about intruders coming into the house and what our escape route would be.” Deep? Dark? Who knows.

Another gem of a quote from Simpson refers to her revamped style since becoming a mom. "I find myself going for more sophisticated looks, but I do think that's kind of trendy right now -- just a classier looking woman. I love to show off my curves, but being a mom, I guess I do it in a little more classier way, even though for Halloween I was a milkmaid -- but there are moments," Simpsons told the publication.
