Shooting Erupts On Dan Ryan Expressway

A bullet-riddled Nissan Sentra pulled up to Rush University Medical Center around 2:10 Sunday morning after a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

State troopers told CBS Chicago the vehicle’s windows were shattered, with blood on the car and wounded passengers inside. One man who was shot later died, while a second man who was injured was treated and released at Stroger Hospital.

A fourth passenger in the front seat reportedly fled on foot at the scene, according to State Troopers. DNAinfo Chicago reports state police have no one is in custody at the time; there is no description of the shooters or their vehicle, and no additional witnesses were on the scene.
