Rick Ross & 'Magic City': Rapper To Make His Acting Debut As Bolita Boss

What's Rick Ross Doing In This Trailer?

Rick Ross contributed an original song to Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," and now it seems he's getting into the TV business as well. The rapper will appear in "Magic City" in the role of a Miami mob chief named the Bolito Boss.

He has one line in the trailer for the season (available above): "God is good, until he ain't." It shouldn't be too arduous of a role for Ross, who worked at a corrections officer and now raps about making some mafia-esque moves himself.

The show -- which also picked up James Caan for its second season -- will return to Starz in 2013, though no date is currently set.

Ross' recently canceled some concerts on the heels of death threats in North Carolina. The rapper's camp later said the cancellations were due to scheduling conflicts.

On Monday, the Maybach Music Group chief announced that his next solo album will be titled "Mastermind."
