The nominations for the 2013 Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning and the Best Cinematography category has some major movies up for the award.

The nominees for Best Cinematography are Robert Richardson for "Django Unchained," Claudio Miranda for "Life of Pi," Janusz Kaminski for "Lincoln," Roger Deakins for "Skyfall," and Seamus McGarvey for "Anna Karenina."

Last year, Richardson took home the award for Best Cinematography for his work on "Hugo." Richardson beat out Guillaume Schiffman ("The Artist"), Jeff Cronenweth ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"), Emmanuel Lubezki ("The Tree of Life"), and Janusz Kamiński ("War Horse").

Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane announced the nominees on Thursday. MacFarlane is hosting the 85th annual Academy Awards on Feb. 24. The awards show will take place at Los Angeles' Dolby Theater.
