Beckett and Castle have settled into a "comfortable" place in their relationship, as TVFanatic put it, but that doesn't mean it's going to be smooth sailing. On this week's episode of "Castle," Beckett had a heart-to-heart with Meredith, Castle's ex-wife, to try and understand what went wrong in that relationship.
"One day I realized, he knew everything about me: my deepest secrets, my worst pain. Enough to fill a million novels. But I didn't even know enough about him to even write a pamphlet," Meredith said. She admitted it was a long time ago, but her words nevertheless gave Beckett a lot to think about.
Is Castle perhaps a bit too secretive still? It took them forever to finally be honest and admit their feelings for one another, but now they've got to navigate this relationship. And the longer it lasts, the deeper it's going to get. Is Castle ready for that, or will he approach a more serious relationship with Beckett the same way he was with Meredith?
