The Center For American Progress created this infographic that depicts how far we’ve come on securing the border and how close we really are to reaching the goals set out in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007.
In their study for the Center For American Progress, Marshall Fitz and Philip E. Wolgin conclude that while six years ago Americans agreed that stopping the flow of undocumented immigrants to the U.S. was a priority, today, thought has shifted as 55% of Americans believe the government must focus on those undocumented immigrants that are already within the country.
