"Thanks, but no thanks."

This was the message sent from the Baseball Writers' Association of America to players eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame in 2013, a group that included some of the most accomplished players in the history of the game. Steroids-tainted superstars Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa made their debuts on the ballot and the BBWAA pitched a shutout for the first time since 1996.
