Clean Your Cheese Grater With A Toothbrush To Remove Crumbs

It's not just for your pearly whites.

If you don’t have access to a dishwasher, cleaning your cheese grater can be a pain. Because of the sharp edges, the accessory has the tendency to eat away at dishcloths. So how exactly can you clean it to make sure you've removed all the leftover food? Yahoo found a really easy way to make it sparkle without ruining your cleaning tools.

First, run it under hot, soapy water. Then, take a soft-bristle toothbrush to get into the grates. The website recommends scrubbing in a direction away from the blades to avoid ruining the bristles.

This is a great tip because removing small particles from the grates is important to make sure you’re getting a fresh piece of cheese every time. Bon appetit!
