When we left "Nashville," Juliette had just proposed to her new football boyfriend, Sean. The action picked up with the two having eloped in the interim. But since Juliette is a hot mess, some fireworks were inevitable. And she ended up getting cold feet and leaving him at the altar for their official public ceremony.
Neither of their parents were happy that they eloped. But rather than demand the marriage be dissolved, they pushed for a traditional wedding in a church to seal the deal publicly. Everything looked like it was going to be fine, despite the negative response Juliette got from her own mother when she told her about it.
At the end of the episode, though, Juliette arrived ... at her private jet, not the church. She'd made it to the day and got into her wedding dress, so what went wrong on the way to the church? Was it that Sean gave her a necklace that was a family heirloom to wear? Whatever the reason, she just wasn't ready, and the scene ended with her walking towards her jet to fly away from it all.
The fallout to this should be huge. Watch for it as "Nashville" continues on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
