Virginia Earthquake Aftershocks: Minor Temblor Hits Louisa County

Minor Quake Strikes Virginia

LOUISA -- No damage was reported from a minor earthquake that struck Louisa County on Wednesday evening.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude-2.0 quake hit at 6:35 p.m. about six-tenths of a mile east of Louisa, some 43 miles northwest of Richmond.

The epicenter was 3.2 miles below the ground's surface. ___
