As of February 7, the Greendale study group will be back in action ... but not before they conquer "The Hunger Deans."
In a new sneak peek of the Season 4 premiere of "Community" (above), Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) is wheeled in on a chariot to announce the official rules of his "Hunger Games" spinoff competition.
It consists of "35 tests of strength and agility," he explains, while dressed in an Effie Trinket-like getup. "The winner of each one of these contests will be awarded a red rubber ball. No ball, no ice cream. And these are impossible to counterfeit, because each one has been marked by my distinct bite print."
Originally set to air on October 19, NBC pushed back the "Community" premiere date almost four months, but the Greendale gang insists October 19 will live on in their hearts.
"October 19 isn't just a date; it's a state of mind," Abed (Danny Pudi) said in a video to fans as he attempted to explain the date's meaning with Troy (Donald Glover).
Catch Dean Pelton, Abed, Troy and the rest of your favorite "Community" characters when Season 4 premieres on Thurs., Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
