Demi Lovato Sober House: Star Living The Sober Life At Los Angeles Facility (REPORT)

Demi Lovato Living In Sober House In Los Angeles

Demi Lovato is serious about her recovery.

The 20-year-old singer left rehab in 2011 after being treated for substance abuse issues and bulimia, and she's committed to staying on the right track, according to TMZ.

Sources told the website that the former Disney star has moved into a sober living home in the LA area, even though she has her home in Los Angeles.

A rep for the singer would not comment on her personal life, but according to TMZ's sources Lovato felt it was in her best interest to live at the facility during the entire run as a judge on "X Factor." Given that stress is often a trigger for those who battle addiction, it was a smart move for Lovato to seek a safe environment that would be conducive to her ongoing recovery -- especially since the singer has admitted she sometimes has a hard time asking for help:

"It's a daily thing; you don't get time off from it. And if I feel like myself slipping back into old patterns, I have to ask others for help, which is hard for me to learn, because I really like doing everything on my own," she told Cosmopolitan in May.

Lovato has been surprisingly open about her issues as well the diagnoses of bipolar disorder she received while in rehab. In March, the documentary "Demi Lovato: Stay Strong" premiered on MTV, and Lovato made a brave admission:

"I cannot tell you that I have not thrown up since treatment. I cannot tell you that I have not cut myself since treatment. I’m not perfect," she said.

Lovato has also spoken about her drug use, though it's not something she likes to recount.

“What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay ‘up,'" she explained to Fabulous Magazine in April.
