H Street Honey Pig Rumors Don't Pan Out, But Much-Loved Korean Restaurants Are Expanding

Honey Pig Rumors Untrue

WASHINGTON -- The recent "scuttlebutt" about Annandale, Va.'s much-loved Honey Pig Gooldaegee Korean Grill possibly coming to D.C.'s H Street corridor was just that, scuttlebutt.

After PoPville floated rumors about Honey Pig eyeing a spot at 4th and H streets NE, Washington City Paper checked in and confirmed that there are no current plans for expansion in D.C.

Honey Pig, which has locations in Centreville, Va., and Ellicott City, Md., will be, to the delight of many, opening up a new spot in Germantown, Md., in about 6 months.

There's also has a new dumpling shop, Honey Dumping, in Catonsville, Md., which City Paper points out "features seven types of dumplings, including bulgogi, curry, pork, vegetable, and kimchi—all $2 each."

We think that sounds like a great local roadtrip for those in D.C. Now we're getting hungry.
