British Soap 'Coronation Street' Comes To Hulu

Anglophiles will already be familiar with the exploits of the fictional inhabitants of "Coronation Street," a beloved British soap opera that now holds the title of "the world’s longest running drama serial," having premiered on December 9, 1960.

The uninitiated will have a chance to get acquainted with the dramatic families at the center of the UK hit as of today, as Hulu launches 11 episodes, plus two Christmas specials, from Season 53. The streaming site will offer new episodes every weekday for free and through subscription via Hulu Plus, on a two week delay after the show airs across the pond.

HuffPost TV has an exclusive clip from one of "Corrie's" Christmas episodes, which you can watch now on Hulu, featuring the soap staple of a runaway bride, a saboteur sibling and a whole heap of familial tension.

The show counts stars such as Snoop Dogg and Sir Anthony Hopkins among its fans, and has aired more than 7,500 episodes over the past five decades, regularly attracting over 10 million viewers per episode.

Will Leanne and Nick tie the knot, or will the scheming Eva sabotage the nuptials? You'll have to catch up to find out by watching "Coronation Street," available now on Hulu.
