Wines of Germany, the U.S. arm of the Deutsches Weininstitut, proves that oenophiles can get silly in a rap video extolling the virtues of German Riesling.

The video, which promotes a fake wine called Seduktion, features a bald-headed rapper character named Big Swanky and a lanky German scientist named Doktor Hans who, at one point, dons a grape costume. If that sounds weird, that's because it is. We especially love the blinged-out "Riesling" chain. Where do we get one?

We imagine this is all part of Wines of Germany's mission, described on its website as "creating greater awareness and increased sales of German wine in the U.S. through educational and promotional activities."

Fake wine or not, we're digging the video. And we suddenly have a taste for German Riesling...
