When I don't feel centered I watch a really good movie or a basketball game -- I find it is helpful to get away from myself. Yet at those times I am filled with a lot of emotion ... I need to channel it somewhere. Watching the Knicks play, or seeing a familiar movie keeps me focused and engaged without thinking too much about whatever is going on in my life. It is consuming without being overwhelming.
