Actress Doris Day was the picture of Hollywood glamour in the '50s and '60s. Although she got her start as a singer, she went on to be ranked as the biggest box office star several years in a row. Her coiffed blonde hair, diamond earrings and silk scarves ensured that she always looked the part and made men all over the world swoon. (Day, a Cincinnati native, kept busy -- she was married a total of four times in her life.)
This 1960s-era photograph of Day has us seriously wishing she was our best friend. Pictured here acting silly, Doris is clad in a brimmed straw hat that flatters her round face. And that trench makes us want to play in the rain.
CORRECTION: Getty Images misidentified the actress in a photo previously included with this article as Doris Day; the photo was of Jean Seberg. That photo has been replaced.
