Barack Obama Travels 2013: Destinations The President Will Never Visit

Over the past four years, Barack Obama has traveled far and wide. He's dined with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, toured the Giza Pyramids in Egypt, and accepted the Nobel Peace Prize in Norway. The U.S. president has also demonstrated a sense of adventure by visiting pariah states -- such as Myanmar and Cambodia -- where none of his predecessors had previously set foot.

Yet despite Obama's knack for history-making destinations, there will always be a number of countries that he will predictably steer clear of during his second term in office. For example, Iran has not hosted a U.S. president since the 1979 Iranian Revolution and is not likely to host one any time soon. North Korea, which has long drawn criticism over its controversial nuclear program and rocket technology, will also not have the pleasure of an Obama visit. And who knows what the outcome of Syria's raging crisis be this year? Even so, the war-battered country will probably not be Obama's destination of choice.
