Tree Breaching In Pipes Leads To Kind Of Horrifying Picture (PHOTO)

It's kind of horrifying to see--but this could happen to you.

We have to admit, when we first came across Reddit user DontFeedAfterMidNigh’s photo entitled “My drain has it too!”, we were quite taken aback. Actually, we had a similar horrified facial expression as the user does as he holds what could only be described as a long, gross and hairy looking monster.

We were relieved to learn that it was only a breached tree root, which had made its way into the pipe connecting to his toilet and drain. This is actually a pretty common thing, especially if you live in an older house or have mature trees in your backyard. In fact users Josh-ooo-as and evilnoodle both wrote that they just went through the same thing.

And while many of us are happy not to have gone through the experience of pulling something this horrendous-looking out of our drains, user gloomdoom was a little jealous. "This is what I'd been searching for. All of these people carrying giant roots around and I've never seen a single root near my pipes. I want one. I want to pull it out to know that it's not in there anymore,” he wrote. Well that's... weird.
