British Paintings, Great And Small, Gathered On New Web Site.

LONDON -- Founded in 1123, St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London has several items not usually found in a city medical center, including two large and striking paintings from the 1730s by William Hogarth.

The Biblical scenes, painted as a donation by the artist who was born nearby, attract a few thousand visitors each year, including hospital patients, sometimes attached to intravenous drips.
