Seville's Trash Strikes Make Garbage Pile Up (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: 4,500 Tons Of Trash Pile Up In Seville

Rubbish collectors in the picturesque Spanish city of Seville have been on strike since last week and it's really starting to smell.

According to UPI, already 4,500 tons of garbage have gathered in the town's otherwise gorgeous streets over the weekend. Antonio Bazo, the leader of the trash-collectors union, said the union's members also set at least 25 trash receptacles alight.

Garbage collectors are protesting municipal austerity cuts that would slash workers' wages and change their schedules, website ThinkSpain reports.
