The rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins runs deep. Carey Price would know, as he played a vital role in one of the rivalry's most recent and heated moments. On Thursday night, Price took a big hit before the most recent battle even began.
In the middle of warmups, Montreal center Lars Eller tried to go through the five-hole with a wrist shot. Price appeared to block the shot, but with a cost as the puck struck him in the groin. Sometimes all of that padding just doesn't do the job. Price fell forward in pain, but got back up seconds later.
To make matters worse, Price allowed two goals in the third period and the Bruins went on to win 2-1.
