Vanessa Hudgens: Selena Gomez 'Is Doing Great' After Breakup With Justin Bieber

Vanessa Hudgens is looking forward to reuniting with the cast of "Spring Breakers" as they gear up for the flick's press tour later this month. But is she ready to show the world her edgier side?

"Yeah, I’m stoked," Hudgens told HuffPost Celebrity while attending the Wildfox presentation during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City on Feb. 6. "It’s a completely different movie, character, just a whole new slate for me. So, yes I’m definitely excited!"

The 24-year-old admits she's been more picky when it comes to acting gigs and is currently just "taking it easy and trying to find something that I’m in love with." But when she read the script for "Spring Breakers," she knew she was all in. Plus, she got to work with some of her favorite gal pals, including Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine.

"It was amazing [working with them]," she gushed to HuffPost. "I love those girls so much and we got to share a very special experience together."

Working with James Franco wasn't half-bad either!

"He’s a phemonenal actor," Hudgens said. "He’s just like an actor’s actor and he’s an amazing person to talk with and he really transformed himself for the movie. So, it’s very shocking I think."

Something else that was pretty shocking was Selena Gomez's breakup with longtime boyfriend Justin Bieber, who recently confessed that he's "not in the happiest place."

But despite the heartbreak, Hudgens says 20-year-old Gomez is holding in there.

"Selena is one of my best friends, I love her to death," she told HuffPost, adding, "She’s doing great."
