Nerlens Noel Torn ACL: Kentucky Star Out For Season With Knee Injury (VIDEO)

Out For Season

Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel tore his ACL during Kentucky's loss to Florida on Tuesday night when he ran into the padded basket support after blocking a shot, per the team's official website.

He will miss the remainder of the season.

Noel took to Twitter to thank those who have sent him their support.

Noel, the nation's leading shot blocker, landed awkwardly on his left leg and went down in obvious pain with about eight minutes remaining in the game. He had to be carried to the locker room by a few of his teammates.

"I'm physically sick right now for him," Kentucky coach John Calipari said after the game.
