Matthew McConaughey tied the knot with longtime love Camila Alves in June 2012, and recently welcomed their third child, son Livingston. But before settling down with Alves, the "Magic Mike" actor, 43, was linked to Hollywood beauties such as Sandra Bullock, Ashley Judd and Penelope Cruz.

However, you won't find McConaughey dissing his former conquests.

“I don’t dislike any of my exes," he tells Elle in the magazine's March issue. "If I took time to form a relationship, it’s gonna hurt when we move on, but are you puttin’ Wite-Out over all that beautiful time together? That was real time in your life. It’s connected to where you are today.”

McConaughey also opens up about his parents’ whirlwind relationship, telling Elle that his mother, Kay, and father, Big Jim, divorced and remarried each other multiple times.

“We thought Mom was on extended vacation," McConaughey says. "I’m not bullshittin’ ya! I don’t think I knew until after Dad died that those two vacations were divorces. They were wild, man. They loved hard."

McConaughey has most recently made headlines for his drastic weight loss for "The Dallas Buyers Club," in which he plays an HIV/AIDS patient. The actor tells Elle about the biggest challenge of shedding 45 pounds.

“The hardest part is the day seems four hours longer," he said. "You’re forced to entertain yourself- because food is entertainment, you know? We spend so much time sublimatin’, thinkin’ about what I am going to have for lunch, dinner?”

But McConaughey told CNN in January that the weight loss "wasn't as difficult - once I made up my mind to do it - as people said or thought it would be." He explained, "I got past being hungry. I think the secret [to losing weight] is don't take meetings as Pizza Hut. Don't put yourself under that temptation."

Fortunately, McConaughey has been spotted looking much healthier on the New Orleans set of his new TV series "True Detectives," co-starring Woody Harrelson.
