Kiersten Kelly, 17-Year-Old Singer, Posts Unique 'Pitch Perfect' 'Cups' Cover (VIDEO)

17-Year-Old's Unique Cover Of 'Pitch Perfect' Song (VIDEO)

When Kiersten Kelly, a 17-year-old aspiring singer from New Castle, Pennsylvania, decided to film a video for YouTube, she had no idea that she would become an overnight Internet sensation.

The teen recreated her own version of a fan favorite scene from the movie, "Pitch Perfect," in which Anna Kendrick's character sings "Cups" a capella while using a plastic cup to make a beat.

After someone shared the video on Reddit over the weekend, it's since accumulated over 90,000 Facebook likes and 10,000 shares.

Kelly was born with a physical disability -- her right arm stops below the elbow -- but that hasn't stopped her from making beautiful music. The teen's YouTube channel also includes videos of her playing the guitar with her right hand and shows her singing ballads like "Fever" and "You Lost Me."

"So basically I'm just missing my wrist and my hand. I do anything and everything anyone else does. I just sometimes have to do it a little bit differently," Kelly explains.

Kirsten Kelly isn't the only teen to show off her musical talents and become an online hit. In December, 17-year-old Zach Sobiech -- a high school student diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer -- wrote and performed a song on YouTube. "Clouds" became a viral hit and earned more than 2 million views. The teen even signed to BMI as a songwriter.
