Zooey Deschanel Is A Huge Fan Of Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar Stumble (VIDEO)

Anyone who remembers the episode of "New Girl" where Jess, played by Zooey Deschanel, tries to stand in as a car model will understand immediately why she was such a fan of Jennifer Lawrence's big Oscar win this past Sunday. Deshanel admitted she was a big admirer of Lawrence during her appearance on "Conan."

She said that as much as she is a fan of Lawrence's work, she's an even bigger fan of the infamous stumble she took on the stairs leading up to the stage to accept her award.

“It was kind of like clumsy girls rule!" she said. "If you have ... a young woman who wins best actress at the Oscars, going up the stairs, trips and falls, it’s just kind of, like, validation."

Deschanel is a huge advocate of female empowerment, and apparently female clumsiness. She's one of the founding partners of HelloGiggles.com, an online community for women. And she's taking that female focus to her own production company focusing on creating positive content for and by women.
