Martha Stewart Opens Up About How She Became A Lifestyle Mogul In PBS Documentary, 'MAKERS' (VIDEO)

Becoming a self-made billionaire doesn't happen overnight.

"Entrepreneurs take a little idea, a germinal idea, and take over the world."

That thought was uttered by none other than lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart. Over several decades, Stewart has created a billion dollar empire by single-handedly taking things like homemaking and housekeeping, which during her early start were considered as she put "drudgery," and elevating them into an art form.

In the documentary MAKERS, Stewart explains her journey to becoming the first woman in America to be a self-made billionaire. From her modeling stint in the '60s to working as a stock broker on Wall Street to starting her own catering business and beyond, Stewart worked hard, never gave up and embraced herself as a woman in order to make it in a man's world -- even though it wasn't always easy.
