Something tells us there will be a lot more Jay Hernandez stored up on your DVR this year. The up-and-coming Tr3s fave has booked high-profile roles in two notable shows.

ABC fans can look for Jay in upcoming episodes of the drama, Nashville. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hernandez has been booked for a multi-episode arc (perhaps as a love interest for star Hayden Panettiere).

Beyond that, he’s landed a slot in the heavily hyped Fox pilot, Gang Related. Jay’s role has been described as a modern-day Michael Corleone from the Godfather saga.

We’re certainly rooting for Hernandez to succeed. Longtime fans will remember his roles in films like Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power and Hostel, which definitely prove he can handle the heavy material.
