Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka Wedding Canceled? Actor Denies Breakup Rumors

Neil Patrick Harris Quashes 'Cray' Breakup Rumors

Those worried that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka might be calling it quits can now breathe a sigh of a relief.

Rumors that Harris and Burtka might be breaking up began circulating thanks to a National Enquirer report claiming the two have called off their wedding, according to Queerty.

“They’re barely speaking, and as of now there’s no wedding in the immediate future,” an "insider" allegedly revealed, claiming that the relationship cracked after a recent drunken blow-out.

Well, apparently the National Enquirer's sources got it all wrong.

Harris took to Twitter to quash the breakup rumors on Thursday, Us Weekly reported.

The "How I Met Your Mother" star -- who announced his engagement to Burtka in June 2011 after marriage equality legislation passed in New York -- previously told Bravo's Andy Cohen he has "no plans to" marry his longtime partner.

"We've had rings on our right hands for five years," he told Cohen in 2011. "We proposed to each other separately, at different times, ages ago. We were going to get married in California, but then Prop 8 happened. We have contemplated it here [in New York], but the problem is if you say, 'Yes. We're planning a wedding,' then it becomes a big giant thing."

The two welcomed twins, Harper and Gideon, via surrogate in 2010.
