Keith Olbermann Appears In New Documentary 'Holy Grail: The T206 Honus Wagner' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Keith Olbermann, The Baseball Historian

Keith Olbermann returned to his roots in a new documentary about the holy grail of baseball cards: the T206 Honus Wagner.

Described as a baseball historian in "Holy Grail: The T206 Honus Wagner," Olbermann takes viewers through the popularity of baseball in the early 1900s and the relevance of the T206 Honus Wagner. The documentary, made by Nick and Colin Barnicle (the sons of "Morning Joe" regular Mike Barnicle), is ESPN's latest 30 for 30 short. The documentary explores the mystery surrounding the most famous baseball card in history.

"There's something Mona Lisa-like to this card," Olbermann said. "I felt the pull of that particular card ... It glowed. It's actual face seemed lit from within." The former Current TV host began his career as a sportscaster and joined ESPN in the early '90s. He eventually jumped to news broadcasting and political analysis, but certainly showed his passion for baseball in this new documentary. Perhaps Olbermann will consider returning to sportscasting in his next gig. Check out the short in the video above.
