A large 4-bed, 2.5-bath Edwardian, c.1911, plus a "garden cottage" on a narrow, quiet Mission street (off 16th Street) in the Valencia Corridor. The street front of the house (top) has beautiful carpenter details, with a deep cornice and columns flanking the entance, along with a vintage ironwork gate. Read more details here. Asking $1.345M and on the market less than a week.

Unlike many houses of the period, the interiors are airy, with high ceilings and big windows, and what was once a huge attic is now a finished open space with skylights, divided into two rooms but without a bath. The kitchen is quirky but looks like it would be fun for parties– as would the rest of the house. No pictures of the garden or the cottage. In one of the oldest parts of San Francisco, this was probably the nicest house on the block. It still is.

154 Julian Avenue, Mission District, $1.345M. Open Sunday, March 2 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
