Jake Tapper On CNN: 'The Lead' Debuts March 18

Jake Tapper's CNN Show Debuts March 18

CNN has announced that Jake Tapper's new CNN show "The Lead" will debut at 4 p.m. on March 18.

The network announced the premiere date on Wednesday. The name and time of Tapper's show, as well as the appointment of Federico Quadrani as executive producer, were revealed earlier in February. At the time, Tapper had said that the show would deal with "a very broad swath of stories of interest to the viewers."

A statement from CNN on Wednesday echoed that sentiment. The show, according to the network, "will seek to examine and advance stories across a wide range of topics that demonstrate his own curiosities and interests. Compelling headlines will come from around the country and the globe, from politics to money, sports to popular culture, based on news drivers of the day."
