Tori Nichel, 'Fashion Star' Contestant, Shares Design Inspirations (PHOTOS)

TEAM TORI

We're super psyched for the Season 2 premiere of NBC's "Fashion Star" Friday night! And while we'll definitely mourn the loss of H&M's Nicole Christie, who is being replaced by Express' Erika De Salvatore this season, we're pumped about the new crop of talented designers duking it out for a chance to sell their creations to the masses -- especially Tori Nichel.

As fashion junkies, we've been hip to Tori's talent for several years now. The Michigan State and Fashion Institute of Technology alum has her own eponymous collection and a seriously impressive resume. In fact, you've most likely been sporting her designs without even knowing. How so? Tori has flexed her sartorial skills as a designer for Dana Buchman, Kenneth Cole and Tibi. With that said, she's clearly going to offer some stiff competition to the other 12 "Fashion Star" contestants.

We're excited that viewers will get the opportunity to fall in love with Tori's wonderfully wearable threads.

"I love the whole tailored sleek feeling of all the looks I did while I was at Kenneth Cole, but then I also love the quirky eclecticness of the color play and that mixing that I really feel in love with while designing at Tibi and for that customer," Tori told NBC.

Well, we can't wait to see. Go, Tori!

And we'd be remiss not to mention our crush on Tori's marvelous mane. The HuffPost Style team caught up with the fashion designer during New York Fashion Week and got the scoop on how she maintains such terrific tresses. Swoon!

Check out NBC's interview with Tori in the video above and and make sure to tune into the Season 2 premiere of "Fashion Star" tomorrow night (Friday, March 8) to cheer her on.
