Dina Lohan, mother extraordinaire, had so much fun at an art auction in New York City earlier this week, she practically stole the show.

Attending the Rock Love Art Ball on the Lower East Side on Tuesday, Lohan displayed some rather eccentric -- albeit jolly -- behavior, reports the New York Daily News. After a hearty dinner, Lohan was seen "clapping and raising her hands in the air," probably waving 'em around like she just don't care.

"When someone would receive an award, Dina would start clapping and stand up, the only one in the room standing," a source told Daily News.

The auctioneer had to call her out and ask her to calm down, since every hand wave could potentially put her in the bid. Lohan would have then been "bidding" against Carlos Slim Helu, the richest man in the world according to Forbes, and actor Cuba Gooding Jr. Also in attendance were Soledad O'Brien and Chaka Khan.

Dina recently took in a new roommate, her daughter Lindsay, who reportedly can't pay her rent back in Los Angeles. In January it was reported that Lindsay is having a hard time adjusting to moving back to her childhood home because her mother "always wants to go out partying with her."

But good times aside, Dina also means business. In an interview with Extra last month, le mother Lohan expressed her desire to be on "Dancing With the Stars," teamed up with Maks Chmerkovskiy. She also told the Daily News at the auction that she is working on her memoirs.
