'Survivor: Caramoan': Brandon Hantz Has An Epic Meltdown, Dumps Out His Tribe's Food (VIDEO)

'Survivor': Brandon's Epic, Destructive Meltdown

Brandon Hantz was always unpredictable, and he continued that behavior on "Survivor: Caramoan." But dealing with the equally challenging Phillip Sheppard proved more than Brandon could handle. The Favorites were on a tear, dominating the Fans in the challenges. It was smooth sailing for the tribe of returning players, but they had a loose cannon in their tribe, and he unleashed one of the most epic meltdowns "Survivor" has ever seen.

Sure Phillip was strange, but he was also dominant in challenges and relatively harmless. So the tribe was willing to put up with his secret agent shenanigans because they were winning. Who wouldn't?

Well, Brandon wouldn't -- and this week, Brandon didn't. He finally reached his breaking point. While he didn't burn down the camp or pee in the rice, as he'd threatened prior, he did dump all the rice and beans onto the ground. It got so bad that his tribe realized they had no choice but to forfeit the next challenge.

Brandon was so fired up that Jeff Probst had him come stand next to him to ensure he didn't attack Phillip. In a moment that HitFix got no enjoyment from watching, Brandon's breakdown was complete. Jeff cancelled the challenge and held tribal council right then and there. Unanimously, Brandon's tribe voted him out and he left angry and yet feeling as if he'd been triumphant by determing his own fate.

Entertainment Weekly wrote that at least now this sad, sad chapter of "Survivor" history is over. Hopefully, this will be Brandon's last foray into the wilderness to compete for a million dollars on "Survivor."

The season continues on "Survivor: Caramoan," Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
