While work-life balance continues to elude many of us, actress Halle Berry says she knows where to draw the line. In an interview with Eurweb for her film “The Call,” which hits theaters Friday, Berry explained that although it’s important for her daughter Nahla (who turns six on March 16) to have a positive maternal role model, it doesn’t mean she should only play movie characters that are squeaky clean.

In a 2010 interview with Vogue magazine, Berry lauded both motherhood and taking pictures in the nude. "I love the naked female form .... I just feel like that's the most empowered position you can be in," she said. "[But] that comes with age ... I've been slowly getting there. If the world wouldn't persecute me, I'd take nude pictures every day of the week."

Berry's latest role in "The Call" is that of a 911 operator who helps save the life of a girl who’s been abducted.

“Far too many times we hear about women, girls, kids being abducted and they disappear, or we find the body somewhere,” Berry told Eurweb. “This movie gives us a chance to look into what might really happen if that were to happen. And while it’s frightening, what it also does is help heighten our awareness to how we can better protect ourselves."

Sounds like something Nahla can take notes from in another couple years.
