Lupe Fiasco 'Jonylah Forever:' Chicago Rapper Dedicates New Track To Jonylah Watkins (AUDIO)

Grammy-winning Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco late Thursday night released a song dedicated to the latest young victim of gun violence in his hometown.

"Not a song but a life. Be respectful," Fiasco tweeted Thursday evening along with a link to "Jonylah Forever" on his new SoundCloud page. "Please keep negative comments to yourself. #lovelifechitownforever."

According to, the track -- in honor of 6-month-old Jonylah Watkins, who was shot five times while her father was changing her diaper in a minivan on Monday and died the next morning -- was produced by Soundtrakk and imagines what the infant's life could have been had she survived the March 11 shooting.

Fiasco earlier this week expressed outrage over Jonylah's shooting death on Twitter:

Fiasco has been outspoken about gang violence in Chicago, saying he feared the culture some Chicago rappers like Chief Keef were perpetuating was contributing to the bloodshed.
