Do you and your fiance really want a hovercraft? Don't worry if you can't afford one -- just add it to your wedding registry.

The Today Show reported Friday that couples are increasingly choosing to register for non-traditional items, such as beer kegs, private islands and even cars, instead of the usual kitchen and bath supplies.

"We see things like robots, fish tanks, and things that traditionally anybody would look at and say, 'Woah, that's a little wacky for a bridal registry,'" said Nancy Lee of MyRegistry.com.

According to WeddingRepublic.com, registry trends for 2013 include honeymoon-related gifts, food and drink, and cash.
