A shooting that occurred at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pa. this afternoon may have been a murder-suicide.
The Morning Call reports that at about 1 p.m., a man in a hospice on the hospital campus shot his wife dead and then turned the gun on himself. The hospital wasn't evacuated and nobody else was injured in the shooting.
About eight officers went room to room on the fourth floor of the hospital and moved patients to different areas after gunfire erupted from one room, according to the paper.
"We were in my mother's room and we heard two gunshots," a witness told the paper. "We got out in the nick of time."
The scene was secured shortly after the shooting, according to Lehigh Valley Live.
