Evan Dorsey had a list of goals for last Friday, but getting arrested wasn't mentioned anywhere on it.
That's what happens, though, when your errands include finding crystal meth, selling drugs, getting coke, and breaking into someone's house.
Police caught the 25 year old trying to do the latter, after residents in a Weymouth, Mass. neighborhood reported suspicious activity.
Police say that's when they found Dorsey's to-do list filled with a day's worth of crime, Weymouth Patch reported. One errand that stuck out from the rest -- do one altruistic act for a stranger.
But plans for a good deed didn't stop officers from arresting Dorsey and charging him with breaking and entering.
Residents told authorities that they'd seen the suspect going door-to-door earlier Friday afternoon, carrying a bag. Police Captain Richard Fuller told The Patriot Ledger that when neighbors confronted Dorsey, he told them he was conducting a survey about opening a marijuana dispensary.
When police arrived, they witnessed Dorsey knock on someone's door, steal diabetic supplies from a UPS package on the doorstep, and then attempt to break in.
In addition to the checklist, the suspect also had a night stick, tools, and jewelry, WHDH reported. Dorsey allegedly stole the jewelry from his own mother.
The suspect's uncle told the station that Dorsey was simply up to no good and struggled with a drug addiction.
Dorsey'scharges included larceny of drugs, receiving stolen property over $250, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
“This is a first for us,” Fuller told the Patriot Ledger. “Those aren’t things you would normally put on your daily to-do list.”
According to Patch, Dorsey was held on a $5,000 bail over the weekend and had an arraignment scheduled for Monday. Authorities are also investigating his involvement with other crimes in the area.
