'Happy Endings' Returns On Friday And Brad's Job Is Looking Iffy In This Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

'Happy Endings' Is Back!

When "Happy Endings" returns on Friday, all may not be well at Chuckles and Huggs.

In HuffPost TV's exclusive clip above from the ABC comedy, which returns with two episodes this week, Brad (Damon Wayans, Jr.) confronts his boss Terry (guest star David Alan Grier) about the financial health of the kids' play place. There are lots of chuckles and a healthy number of hugs all around, but it seems as though money is a little scarce.

What's Brad doing working at a kids' playground, anyway? Well, he recently lost his job at a financial firm, and the new job isn't such a stretch, as it turns out.

The job appeals to "the child in Brad -- he's a big kid," Wayans said in a recent interview with HuffPost TV. "I think he kind of identifies with the children and their energy and their blind happiness."

And he's well placed to help out the struggling business, according to executive producer Jonathan Groff, who recently gave HuffPost TV the lowdown on upcoming episodes and guest stars. Grier's character is "kind of an unstable dreamer of a guy," Groff said, "so Brad has to rescue the business and in doing so is reminded how much he loves business."

We'll have much more from the cast and executive producers of "Happy Endings" soon, but for now, enjoy Brad's stint at Chuckles and Huggs, as well as Max and Penny's new addiction to NocheTussin, a cough syrup they start drinking to keep them from sending ill-advised texts.
