Kate Middleton's trip to Scotland has been a pretty lighthearted affair thus far, full of silly children, sports and a big, green mascot. Lucky for Kate, the kiddos kept things lively again during day two of her royal trip.
While visiting Dumfries House today, the duchess was presented with the "Barbie" version of herself by one of the young girls in the crowd, Dayna Miller. This is how Kate reportedly reacted: "No! Oh no, is that me? Is that meant to be me? Does my hair really look like that?" (FWIW, Kate, we don't think so.)
Fortunately, Miller was able to assuage Catherine's worries. "I told her she was much prettier than the doll and her hair was not nearly so big and she laughed and seemed happy," Miller said. "I think she was a bit shocked by the doll though."
Kate and Prince William, known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn while in Scotland, braved the cold along with Prince Charles to attend the opening of an outdoor center and greet hundreds of youth group members. Always one to set a good example, the pregnant royal recycled one of her old red Armani coats for the occasion, which she first wore back in 2006 for William’s passing out ceremony at Sandhurst. She was also wearing Kiki McDonough diamond earrings.
Fashion choices aside, how awkward do you think it was for Kate to face the doll version of herself? Check out the photos of the duchess and the aforementioned "Barbie" below and tell us what you think.
