'Idol' Results: Janelle Arthur Eliminated And Top 4 Revealed

One Lady Leaves 'Idol'

The "Idol" results are in and Janelle Arthur is out.

Kree Harrison joined her in the Bottom 2 for the first time in the competition. The two contestants, who are close friends, held hands tightly and faced each other as the "Idol" results came in: Janelle had to sing for the judges' save.

She performed The Supremes' "You Keep Me Hanging On," which was a hit earlier in the competition, but on Thursday, it wasn't enough to keep Janelle in the race."This has been the toughest debate," Randy said, explaining that two of the judges wanted to keep Janelle in the competition and two didn't.

Candice Glover, who blew the judges away with her renditions of Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" and Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston's "When You Believe" on Wednesday, was the first to move forward into the Top 4. Former "Idol" judge Paula Abdul stopped by to surprise her and was happy to see the all-female Top 5. "Congratulations to America for getting it right," she said. Just for fun, Randy and Keith both got up and let Paula sit on the judges' panel again, between the feuding Mariah and Nicki Minaj.

Candice was soon joined by Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb in the Top 4 and eventually, Kree as well. During Wednesday's performance show, the judges begged America to vote for Amber and it worked for the powerful singer, who usually finds herself in the Bottom 3. "I really, really hope America gets to see inside the beautiful human being who stands before me," Nicki told her.

The Top 5 ladies kicked off the "Idol" results show with a "diva medley" of Donna Summer's biggest hits -- with backup singers and dancers to boot. Two alumni also performed during the "Idol" results show: Clay Aiken reprised his "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and Fantasia returned with her new song "Lose To Win."
