UPDATE: The NYPD now confirms that Levi Jennings has been safely returned to his home.

The NYPD is searching for a 2-year-old Brooklyn boy allegedly abducted by his father.

Levi Jennings was being watched by a babysitter Tuesday afternoon when his biological father, 22-year-old Thomas Jennings, forced his way into the apartment in Brooklyn and took the young child, the NYPD says.

Thomas Jennings is legally barred by the courts from having custody of his son. He is now wanted for custodial interference.
