Sandra Bullock has joined the many celebrities who have reached out to Boston after all the city has to endure this week.

"That city is made up of amazing, strong, loyal, kind, giving people and you saw that once everything happened," Bullock told Access Hollywood at CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday. "You saw the amount of people that rushed into the danger and just helped everyone. All tragedies -- it brings out the best in people and you just see what a great, great, great place Boston is."

The Academy Award-winning actress spent a few months in Boston last summer filming "The Heat," her newest cop comedy with Melissa McCarthy. The crew received "a lot of help from law enforcement there," per CNN.

McCarthy also had only good things to say about the city that recently hosted them. "It's a remarkable place, an amazing city that's obviously going through a really tough situation," McCarthy said yesterday. "I have a sweet spot for it now."

Director Paul Feig, who directed "Bridesmaids" as well as "The Heat," said he is setting up a Boston screening for the city's first responders. "The Heat" is slated to come out June 28, and Bullock said the idea of a special screening is a "great" one.

"The movie is such a love letter to Boston," said Feig. "A lot of our cast are Boston people, either born or raised. So we really would like to support that city. I love that city."
