Madonna's daughter Lourdes is certainly not afraid to express herself.
Lourdes stepped out with green hair in New York City over the weekend, according to People magazine. The 16-year-old got neon green streaks at the front of her head. Whether or not Lourdes' new hair color is permanent is unclear, but it's likely she is just having some fun with some temporary hues.
This isn't the first time the "Material Girl" offspring has experimented with her hair. Last February, Lourdes shaved the right side of her head for an edgier style.
Madonna appears to be okay with letting her children be whoever it is they are, but the superstar singer has admitted that she could be a little bit tougher.
"To be a single mother of four and to work as much as I do, and live my life in a kind of metaphorical fish bowl, it's pretty challenging," she told the "Today" show last year. "But so far I've survived with sanity and humor intact."
She said that the Madonna her children know is the one who asks "Have you done your homework?" and "Why are you wearing that?" But, she added, "I'm probably not as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher."
Madonna might be more inclined to tighten the reins lately now that Lourdes is dating "Homeland" actor Timothée Chalamet.
