Ke$ha Celebrates Sex: HuffPost Live Discusses The Pop Star's 'Promiscuity'

WATCH: Does It Matter If Pop Stars Are 'Promiscuous'?

Pop star Ke$ha doesn't attempt to conceal her sexual exploits and she will tell you why.

"Just because I have sex, and I'm not embarrassed doesn't mean I'm a whore," she told Contact Music in November 2012. "If men can do it, why can't a woman do it? I really feel one of my main reasons for being on this earth is to level out the playing field just a little bit.''

She also has a reality show on MTV called "My Crazy Beautiful Life" where she discusses her conquests on a regular basis. Gawker writer Rich Juzwiak joined HuffPost Live host Ricky Camilleri to discuss Ke$ha's desire "to be promiscuous" and her rebellion against the stigma that surrounds women enjoying casual sex. "A lot of female pop stars sing about sex pretty openly and have for years and years," said Rich. "I mean Madonna, before Madonna. But Ke$ha is the rare one who actually will show you the receipts."

Juzwiak and Camilleri also compared Ke$ha's openness about sex to Taylor Swift's songs about her many relationships and the backlash she's faced because of them. "It is really interesting that Taylor Swift is kind of brazen in a certain way to be boy crazy," said Juzniak.
