Teens React To The 'Cup Song' Videos (WATCH)

Why These Teens Were Surprised About The 'Cup Song'... (VIDEO)

It's extremely likely that you've seen -- or at the very least, heard of -- what has become known as the "cup song" from the movie "Pitch Perfect." But did you know this viral Internet trend didn't originate in the 2012 musical comedy?

If the answer is "no," you are not alone. In the most recent episode in the "Teens React" YouTube series, a group of teens are shocked to find out that the "cup song" trend actually started in a YouTube video by Lulu and the Lampshades titled "You're Gonna Miss Me."

Some of their other (hilarious) reactions after watching the video were:
  • "It's my party trick."
  • "I don't think I could multitask like that."
  • "With practice, you can do something. So it's not impressive in any way. You're smacking a cup."
