Director Tom Shadyac Lives Modestly, Even Though He's Big-Time (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

As director Tom Shadyac continues talks about remaking the French film "The Intouchables," we're reminded of how this Hollywood legend has been living the simple life.

In 2007 Shadyac, who is responsible for hits like "Ace Ventura" and "The Nutty Professor," gave up his 17,000-square-foot mansion in Pasadena, Ca. for a 1,000-square-foot mobile home. "I was standing in the house that my culture had taught me was a measure of the good life," Shadyac said in his 2011 documentary. "I was struck with one very clear, very strange feeling: I was no happier."

Now, six years later, Shadyac continues to live modestly and couldn't be happier as he explained to CBS' Bill Whitaker in the video above.
